This past Tuesday April 30, 32 STPGA Juniors got a once in a lifetime experience at the Insperity Championship @ The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course. These juniors got to play 9-holes with a Champions Tour player on the same course the pro's will be playing later this week. Fred Funk, Rocco Mediate, Mark O'Meara, and 6 other Champions Tour Players donated their time to play with the juniors! Click Here for all of the pictures from the event.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – In an effort to promote interest and participation in the game of golf, the Masters Tournament Foundation, United States Golf Association (USGA) and The PGA of America announced Monday the creation of the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship, a free, nationwide junior skills competition that will conclude at Augusta National Golf Club in 2014.

2013 Exemptions Announced

As the STPGA continues to grow our Prestige Tour, we are excited to announce our exemptions for 2013. Click Here to read about all of the tournaments that you can earn exemptions into when you play with the Southern Texas PGA.

The biggest addition to our exemption list is that we will be running the Junior PGA Championship Qualifier at our first Prestige Tour event of the summer June 12-13 at Cypresswood Golf Club. This years Junior PGA Championship is being held at Trump National Golf Club Washington DC on July 30-Aug 2. The winners of the Boys 16-18 division and the overall Girl champion at the June 12-13 Prestige Tour event will earn a spot at the Junior PGA Championship. This national Junior event is always considered to be one of the top 10 best junior events each year and always seems to field the most elite juniors in the country.

The Southern Texas PGA will continue to look for more opportunities for our members to play at the next level and experience events that no other junior golf program can offer.
