This is a free event for all to attend.

Speaker List and Bios

Ginger Brown Lemm, PGA – Ginger Brown Lemm was an All-American in high school before becoming an all SWC selection and tournament winner at the University of Texas. Along the way to becoming an award winning collegiate coach, Ginger served as a club professional, PGA teaching professional, mini-tour professional, and executive director of The First Tee of Arkansas. She was then hired as head coach at Arkansas State University before spending 13 years as the Mississippi State Women’s Golf. Ginger held many peer-elected positions on the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) with her latest position as Vice President working closely with the Golf Coaches Association of America, the male counterpart of the WGCA, and served the WGCA for almost 10 years.


Since moving to Texas in the spring 2021 and joining Summit Golf School, Ginger  has put those experiences to good use in the formation of Collegiate Golf Connections. Her mission is to guide the junior golfer and their parents through the maze of collegiate recruiting in three major areas: Academics, Athletics and Personal Growth.


Ginger Brown Lemm has been a PGA member for over 25 years.


Kelly Gilley, PGA – Kelly Gilley, PGA, is a PGA Career Consultant serving the Northern and Southern Texas PGA Sections. Gilley has been a PGA Member since 1998 and spent the first 15 years of her career in golf in Georgia. She has a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Florida State University where she competed for the Lady Seminole Golf Team and was a three-time Academic All-American.


In 1997, she accepted a role with Canongate Golf Clubs/Sequoia Golf where she remained for 15 years, while serving in roles of Assistant Professional, Head Professional, Operations Manager, Regional Manager and Marketing Manager over her tenure with the company. Gilley was Foundation, Marketing and Membership Director for Southern Texas PGA for five years before joining the team of PGA Career Consultants in 2017.


Gilley lives in Montgomery, Texas with her husband Steve (GCSAA Member) and two daughters.


Rich Ballinger, PGA – Dr. Ballinger is a PGA Master Professional and the Director of the Sam Houston State University PGA Golf Management program since its inception in 2005. He is a graduate of the Ferris State University PGA Golf Management program and has been a PGA member for 25 years. Ballinger has held various positions within the industry and is very involved in PGA governance including serving on the PGA National Education Committee and is the current Secretary of the Southern Texas PGA.


Thomas Hutton, PGA – Mr. Hutton has been the Executive Director of the Southern Texas PGA since 2018 and has been a PGA Professional since 2010. He started in the industry working for PGA of America's Junior Series and then as Director of Junior Golf for the Southern Texas PGA between 2010 and 2015. During his time in this role, Hutton created the Spring, Summer, and Fall Series along with each Championship, as well as the Prestige Tour. He now oversees all operations for the Southern Texas PGA.
