PT Recap: TPC Industrial Spring Fling and Heart of Texas Classic

PEARLAND, TEXAS & KERRVILLE, TEXAS (April 22 - 23, 2023) - This weekend the Southern Texas PGA held two Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour tournaments in Pearland and Kerrville.



The TPC Industrial Spring Fling was held this weekend at Pearland Golf Club. With 121 of our Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour players and two lightning delays, we had an eventful weekend full of great golf.




In the Overall Girls Division, Joann Bee of The Woodlands finished Round One with a (+7) 79 giving her a one-stroke lead over the field. Going into the final round, Joann had her sights on winning and used her momentum to seal her victory with a (+2) 74. Her tournament total was a (+9) 153 with an overall five-stroke difference win. This was Joann’s third Prestige Tour victory of 2023, her last two finishes at the Prestige Tour Premiere and Houston Junior Classic.



In the Overall Boys Division, Caleb Lumpkin of Houston, walked home victorious after overcoming a T-3 finish going into Round Two. In his opening round, Caleb carded a (+2) 74, leaving him two-strokes from the leaders. Knowing this, he went into the final round, set on ending the day with a win. He carded a tournament total (+2) 74 which included six birdies. This was Caleb’s second Prestige Tour victory since joining the STPGA in 2014.




The Heart of Texas Classic was held this weekend at Riverhill Country Club. With 88 of our Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour players teeing it up, it made for a great weekend of golf.




In the Overall Girls Division, local Raleygh Simpson of Kerrville went home a champion. Finishing Round One with a (+4) 76, Raleygh was in fourth place going into the final round. Knowing the standings, Raleygh grinded it out on the second day and shot (-3) 75 to place her as the champion. This was Raleygh’s second Prestige Tour victory since becoming a member of the STPGA in 2014.




In the Overall Boys Division, Yi Wen Huang of Austin left victorious after climbing up the leaderboard and a playoff. Finishing Round One with (E) 72, Yi Wen was at a four-stroke deficit from the leader, but made up for it in the final round. He carded a tournament total of (-1) 143 which landed him in a playoff with Andrew Reyes of San Antonio. Yi Wen won the one-hole playoff with a birdie. This was Yi Wen’s first ever Prestige Tour victory since joining the STPGA in 2020.

La Porte, TX (October 4-5, 2025) – The STPGA Srixon Prestige Tour made its way to Bay Forest Golf Course for the Bay Forest Junior Championship, a tournament rich in tradition. Since 1990, the Bay Forest Cup has been a staple in junior golf, and this year’s event carried that same legacy of great competition and memorable moments. Over two days, players battled through challenging conditions and showcased their talent, adding another exciting chapter to the tournament’s long history.

Good Afternoon Players, Parents, & Family Friends, Summer may be over, but tournament season is just heating up! Srixon Prestige Tour Champions - August The Srixon Prestige Tour team kicked off the month of August in Houston at BlackHorse Golf Club (North) for the STPGA Challenge . Carson Klein of Tomball, TX secured his first Srixon Prestige Tour victory with a commanding performance, maintaining a six-shot lead on the back nine. In the Girls Division, Lora Kim of Katy, TX fired an impressive final-round 69 to capture her first Overall Srixon Prestige Tour title. The Tour remained in Houston for the Prestige Tour Open at Gleannloch Pines Golf Club, where London Fowlkes of Houston, TX earned her third win of the season. On the boys' side, Luke Janik, also of Houston, TX, claimed his first career Srixon Prestige Tour title with consecutive rounds of 68. Next, the Tour traveled to New Braunfels for the Surf & Turf New Braunfels Showcase at Landa Park Golf Course. William Mangione of Austin, TX recorded back-to-back rounds of 69 to earn his third win of the season. Addison Braden of San Antonio, TX delivered a standout performance, highlighted by an eagle on Hole #13, en route to her first career Srixon Prestige Tour victory. August concluded with a return to BlackHorse Golf Club (North) for the H-Town Showdown . Muci Guo of Bellaire, TX and Cody Borden of The Woodlands, TX each captured their second win in the 13-14 age division, as well as their first Overall Srixon Prestige Tour titles of the year. 2025 Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches - TeamSTPGA Team STPGA emerged victorious at the 10th Annual Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches, held earlier this month at the prestigious Shady Oaks Country Club. Representing the Southern Texas PGA, 12 standout junior golfers competed in two days of match play competition against the Northern Texas PGA team. Team STPGA set the tone early, dominating Day 1 with a commanding performance. They secured victories in both the four-ball and foursome formats by a margin of 4.5 to 1.5 in each session, establishing a strong 9–3 lead heading into the final day. Despite a strong comeback effort from Team NTPGA—who won the singles matches 7–5—Team STPGA’s early lead proved insurmountable. With a final score of 14–10, Team STPGA captured the Ben Hogan Junior Cup title. Congratulations to Captain Savannah Dupre and all 12 members of Team STPGA on this outstanding achievement.
