SPICEWOOD, TEXAS (March 13 - 14, 2023) - This week, Lakecliff Golf Club hosted the Spring Break Classic. With the changing Texas weather, 79 of our Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour players teed off all hoping to walk away a champion.

In the Overall Girls Division, Carly Sherman of Bastrop, finished Round One with a (+6) 77 placing herself in second place with a four-stroke deficit from first. Knowing the standings, Carly grinded it out on the second day shooting  (E) 71 to land her in a sudden death playoff with Nirjara Gulhane. After 4 intense playoff holes, Carly claimed her victory with a birdie. Not counting the playoff, Carly shot a tournament total of seven birdies. This was Carly's third Prestige Tour victory since joining the STPGA in 2016, and second Prestige Tour victory of the 2023 season, her last being the Hill Country Open at Horseshoe Bay Resort.

In the Overall Boys Division, Esteban Gonzalez of McAllen, came to the tournament with his eyes on winning the Spring Break Classic once more after his victory in 2021, and finishing in second place in 2022.  With this as motivation, Esteban ended Round One as the leader with a (-2) 69 and a round total of five birdies. With a one-stroke lead going into day two, Esteban gave it his all and finished Round Two with a tournament total of (-1) 141. He carded a total 10 birdies, setting the tournament record. This was his second Prestige Tour victory, both of which have been at the Spring Break Classic.
