9th Ben Hogan Cup Announcement!

Exemptions, event schedule, and host site announced today! 

SPRING,TX (MARCH 28,2024) – The STPGA is excited to announce the 9th Annual Texas Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches will be back at Shady Oaks Country Club on August 5-6, 2024! Shady Oaks was once home to world renowned golfer Ben Hogan, the name sake of the Matches, where he co-founded this pristine course with Texas Golf Hall of Famer Marvin Leonard. Shady Oaks continues to be a testament to the legacy of Ben Hogan.

The Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches is an annual competition between the Southern Texas and Northern Texas PGA Junior Tours' top six boys and top six girls ages 13-18. The Ryder Cup-style format features 18-hole Four-Ball and 9-hole Foursomes Matches on the first day followed by 18-hole Singles Matches on the final day.

The first chance to earn a spot on the STPGA Team is at the Fore! Challenge on May 29- 30 at Jimmy Clay Golf Course. The Boys 13-18 Overall Champion and the Girls 13-18 Overall Champion will all earn exemptions to join Team STPGA in August. The rest of the team will be finalized at other Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour tournaments throughout the summer.

Brenham, TX (May 27-28, 2026) – After weather delays impacted the opening round, the Srixon Prestige Tour's Fairway Roundup at Brenham Country Club concluded with a strong showing from the field. Players were able to complete all 36 holes under ideal conditions on Thursday, setting the stage for an exciting and highly competitive tournament as golfers showcased their talent throughout the event. Burnet, TX (May 27-28, 2026) – Despite inclement weather that stalled Round 1, the Srixon Prestige Tour saw yet another successful event at the Fore! Challenge this week at Delaware Spring Golf Course. Golfers played all 36 holes through beautiful weather on Thursday, showing off their skills in what turned out to be a competitive tournament.
