STPGA Championships are meant to reward players that participate in many events but also bring highly skilled players together to form a cohesive Championship. The STPGA has outlined how many players will receive an invitation to The Fall Championship based on their points earnings at the end of the Fall Series on December 8th. As stated in our Junior Golf Rules and Regulations, our Championship fields are a direct representation of our entire program based on both the number of players in each metro area, the number of players in each division, and past averages.
Below is the initial Invitation Breakdown for the Junior Tour Fall Championship. An updated Invitation Breakdown will be released on
October 15th that reflects changes or fluctuation in participation by metro area and division throughout the Summer Season. Please note, no division will experience a decrease in invitations when the update is made with the exception of an age division in a given metro that has experienced zero participation. This updated Invitation Breakdown will dictate how many junior golfers will get invited per division and metro area when the season is complete on December 8th.
Please review the following process that will be utilized for Championship invitations in 2024:
1. Once invitations are sent, invited players will have 24 hours to register or decline their invitation. After a player declines or no
action has been completed in 24 hours, the invited player will lose their spot and the next player from the same division/metro area
Points List will be invited. If there are no players next on the same list, the spot will revert to the overall division Points List.
2. Players in the top 5% overall of their respective division of the Points List will receive an invitation regardless of the allocated
spots per metro area in the division. Meaning if you did not qualify in your metro, players have the opportunity to qualify via overall
points for the division. If these spots are not needed, this does not mean the STPGA will invite more players.
3 The STPGA reserves the right to invite players based on the overall division Points List on Thursday, December 12th in order to
complete the playing field.
