Team Golf is for STPGA Junior Golf members who are between 6-12 years old with very little golf experience. These tournaments offer beginner level players an introduction to tournament play through 9-hole two-man scramble tournaments.  Team Golf serves as a fun, social, less stressful approach to tournament golf, and provides junior golfers with knowledge and skills that set the stage for a lifetime of golf enjoyment.

Starting in 2015, Team Golf will have three divisions, 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12.  In each division, juniors will play a two-man scramble for 9 holes.  Each two man team will record one score and compete only against juniors in their division.  We will award 1st-5th place in each of the three divisions.

Team Golf participants should have little to no tournament experience and cannot break 50 on 9-holes. Team Golf is designed as a stepping stone program into our Little Linksters program. Players can play in both programs but Team Golf is much more focused for the 5-hole modified player.

The yardages for Team Golf can be found under the Rules and Yardage Tab.

In order to register for a Team Golf event, you must register with another junior since all players will play in a two man scramble.  A great way to find a friend to play with is by getting involved with Team Golf programs at golf courses around your area.  Make sure to check out the Teams page to find a PGA Professional that supports this program and helps put two man teams together.

The goal of Team Golf is to introduce juniors to the game of golf in a fun social environment.  This program is not meant to be competitive but one where two friends can play in a tournament together to help each other out and to get more involved with golf!

All juniors that participate in a Team Golf event must be a STPGA Junior Golf member.
