"An organization that has helped me greatly in achieving my goal of playing at the next level, the college level, is the STPGA. I started playing with the STPGA when I was a sophomore in high school. Since then I have been able to play all around the Rio Grand Valley at the best country clubs there is in the area. The STPGA provides extreme competition that is brought in by the best golfers around the valley. It also gives you a sense of the type of level you will play in when you are in college. It truly gives you a realistic experience. Another element that the STPGA provides you with is fun, one of the most important things. It let's you love the game and enjoy the golf course and the people you play with. The STPGA has really given me opportunities to grow as a golfer and as a person as well. They see friends that they have played with before in these tournaments and make new ones along the way. What I like about Little Linksters is that for beginner golfers, it makes the kids accountable for the rules of golf and integrity of the game.
