The 2015 Spring Series officially wrapped up this past weekend, April 25-26 with the Little Linksters Spring Series Championship at Northgate Country Club in Houston. Consisting of five different division, the field of eighty championship qualifiers took to the par- 35 Bunkers Course at Northgate to determine the best of the spring.
(Shenandoah) appeared to have no trouble dominating the course, putting together rounds of 34-32 for a two-day total of four-under-par, 66. Ballis the low score for the championship had six birdies over the two rounds and ultimately claimed the Co-Ed 6-8 nine hole modified division by four strokes.
(Katy) capped off an impressive Spring Series, winning the Girls 11-12 nine hole red division by six strokes after rounds of 40-35. The victory made eight first place finishes for Nguyen this Spring Series in the Girls 11-12 nine hole red division.
The closest competition came in the Boys 9-10 nine hole modified division where Nicholas Standley
(Houston) edged out Holden Kittleberger
(Katy) on the first playoff hole. Both Standley and Kittleberger fired two-day totals of one-over-par, 71 to reach the playoff.
The Boys 11-12 nine hole red division saw a log jam at the top of the leaderboard with six strokes separating first and tenth place. Ty Roberts
(San Antonio) edged out Daniel Zou
(Humble) and Treed Huang
(Katy) by a single stroke after a two-day total of two-over-par, 73.
(San Antonio) won the Girls 9-10 nine hole modified division with an eight-over-par, 78.
