Bluejack National and Southern Texas PGA Foundation Tee Up an Opportunity for Two Junior Golfers to Play with Tiger Woods on Thursday, Nov. 5
Houston, TX—Bluejack National and the Southern Texas PGA Foundation have partnered to provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for two junior golfers to play with Tiger Woods when he tees it up at Bluejack National on Thursday, Nov. 5. Bluejack National, located north of Houston in Montgomery, TX, is the first Tiger Woods-designed course to open in the United States.
One junior girl and one junior boy between the ages of 7 and 12, both Southern Texas PGA Junior Members, will be selected to play with Tiger Woods on Bluejack National’s “Playgrounds,” a nine-hole short course. Southern Texas PGA Junior Members can increase their chance of being drawn to play by participating in more tournaments and being part of the STPGA Foundation “Kids Fore a Cause” program. With the Southern Texas PGA junior program boasting a calendar of over 400 junior events per year, there are ample options to compete. “Kids Fore a Cause” is in its second year and supports the STPGA Foundation’s efforts to grow junior golf and create scholarships, while at the same time benefitting the Texas Children’s Hospital, Dell Children’s Medical Center and Triumph Over Kid Cancer.
According to Southern Texas PGA Executive Director Mike Ray, “We couldn’t be more pleased that Bluejack National President and PGA Member Casey Paulson wanted to work with us on such a rare opportunity for two of our junior golfers. This is an experience of a lifetime and we are extremely honored to be part of it.” Ray went on to say, “What Tiger and the ownership of Bluejack are creating in Montgomery is phenomenal, so I would encourage anyone who has not yet seen this property to take the trip to tour it.”
Paulson commented, “Our partnership with the STPGA is a perfect match because Tiger Woods and the entire Bluejack family are committed to providing exceptional experiences for golfers of all ages. We are thrilled and honored to share the grand opening stage with the STPGA and two local junior golfers.” He added, “Beyond our excitement, this is thematically central to everyone involved at Blueajck -- genuine fun.”
The two lucky juniors will be selected from among all qualifying entries and announced on August 11th at the Opening Ceremony for the Southern Texas PGA Junior Championship at The Woodlands Country Club Palmer Course.
