The Southern Texas PGA is excited to announce that the Aggie Land Classic on July 14-15, will be the "Last Chance in Texas” for juniors to qualify for the 39th Junior PGA Championship. This event will be the fourth Bridgestone Golf Prestige Tour event of the summer and will take place at Traditions Club at Texas A&M in College Station.

The Boys 15-18 and Girls 13-18 winner at this event will both earn an invitation to the 39th Junior PGA Championship, which will be played two weeks later on July 29-August 1 at Miramont Country Club in Bryan, TX.

With this recent addition of two exemptions to the Junior PGA Championship, Southern Texas PGA junior golf members now have two opportunities to try to earn a spot to this National Championship. The June 9-10 Prestige Tour event at Augusta Pines and the July 14-15 Prestige Tour event at Traditions Club will both award exemptions to the Junior PGA Championship.

"We are very excited to offer players an additional opportunity to earn a spot in one of the biggest junior golf championships in the country,” said Thomas Hutton, Director of Junior Golf for the Southern Texas PGA. "With the event in our backyard, our goal is to give Texas players the most opportunities to play in a National Championship so close to home.”

Registration for this event on July 14-15 is already open. Register now to secure your spot in the field.

Please note that this event will be open to non-STPGA members as well, so sign-up today before the event fills up.
